Yay!
School is here and I finally I get to take the classes I’ve been waiting to
take for years! Chemistry and U.S. History are subjects that I am looking
forward to in particular. My friends tell me I’m crazy, but enjoying school
helps make the work load seem lighter. And that’s a good thing, since I have
several work intensive classes this year.
Besides the usual core subjects, I
am also working on my junior project
. The goal is to raise enough money for my family to take a trip to Washington D.C. In order to accomplish this, I am making pillow cases and selling them on my Etsy shop. The shop, this blog, and the project are named Case for Washington. I started at the beginning of the summer and have enjoyed it immensely! So far, I have made quite a few cases in a range of colors and patterns from pink flowers, to cream damasks, to green with military logos.

Also, in addition to pillow cases,
the shop will soon be featuring boot forms. In case you don’t know, boot forms
are fabric-covered, cylinders that are used to keep boots upright in the
closet. There are a perfect way to prevent your boots from bending over and
creating creases that ruin the leather. With the boots standing up straight,
your closet looks neater and there is also more room.
If you are not on Etsy and would
still like to purchase an item, you can browse the available listings at: www.etsy.com/shop/caseforwashington and then email me at: caseforwashington@gmail.com
to let me know what you would like to purchase and where I should ship the
item(s).
The projects I start (and sometimes
finish :), school, family, and friends are all wonderful parts of my life and
contribute to who I am. Overall, though, I want this project, this school year,
and ultimately my life to reflect Jesus Christ. He is the reason that I have
such an amazing family, and such amazing school opportunities. He deserves the
credit for success because without Him I would fail. Let us make a conscious
and prayerful effort to live every part of our lives for Christ because He is
worth living for.
“God
works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called
according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
God
Bless!
