Books About Presidents

Sorry about the large gap between posts. We were camping at Donner Lake.

If the Walls Could Talk: Family Life at the White House

If you are looking for an educational and amusing book for a young reader I would definitely recommend this one. Each page is filled with comical cartoon pictures and short fun facts about the personal life of each president up to George W. Bush. For youngsters who aren’t reading yet, the pictures may interest them greatly.
This book was one that I enjoyed far past the age recommendation. Because we don’t own it, we checked it out from the library often. At one point, I think we had it in our possession more than the library did. I have great personal interest in the history of the Presidents and particularly enjoy learning the little known fun facts related to them. I believe that If the Walls Could Talk had a part in creating this curiosity. (Of which I have plenty. :)

Presidents: All You Need to Know

For those looking for a little bit more substantial reading on the presidents, this should satisfy you. 385 pages of information on all presidents up to George W. Bush, including every inaugural address given by the Presidents of the United States. Presidents: All You Need to Know covers each major event that occurred during the president’s life as well during his term of office. A bit more technical and not as comical as If the Walls Could Talk, this is an excellent research book.
My parents brought it back for me from a trip they went on. I had recently returned a similar book that I had borrowed from a friend. After discovering this book on my bed, I became even more excited about learning the history of our nation’s past Presidents.

Happy Reading and God Bless!!
