The American Heritage Series

The American Heritage Series is a DVD series that outlines much of America’s forgotten history and reveals the true heritage of the United States. David Barton, a well-known historian, sits down to discuss many misconceptions in American history
including constitutional interpretation, the role of the Supreme Court, and the faith of our Founding Fathers.(How many of those were there anyway?---it turns out there were 250!!!) By going back to original source documents, David Barton is able to prove that the United States was founded as a Christian nation by predominantly Christian men and women.

            I am currently watching the series as part of my U.S. History and am thoroughly enjoying it. There is so much about my country that I never realized! It is also neat for me to be able to learn about the influence Christianity has had, not only in the personal lives of so many Founding Fathers, but also in the government they established on Biblical principles. If you want to be astonished by the number of hidden features in Washington D.C., watch this series! The American Heritage Series has definitely gotten me excited about our upcoming trip to out nation’s capital.
